Montessori Tutoring for 3-9 year olds

Individualized, hands-on learning support from an experienced teacher

I’m Castle O’Neill, a Montessori teacher and teacher trainer with over 25 years of classroom teaching and more than 15 years of coaching new teachers. My favorite part of being a Montessori teacher is understanding and respecting each child’s unique interests, strengths and challenges, and designing a learning approach that works for that child.

Montessori education is an individualized, child-driven method rooted in research.  In Montessori tutoring, I can take that individualized approach to the next level. In partnership with parents and teachers, I develop materials, learning games and a strengths-based tutoring plan that engages the child and increases confidence and enjoyment of learning.

The Montessori method is often helpful to children with attention challenges, high energy, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, atypical learning styles and “quirky kids” who do not fit into a clear diagnosis category. I’m also experienced in supporting children who are academically strong in specific areas and aren’t challenged by their school’s curriculum.
